When reselling a "New in The Box" item purchased at a garage sale or thrift store, open the item and test it and examine the contents before you list it. Your buyer will test and examine the item carefully.

Print USPS First Class Mail labels with Delivery Confirmation and On-Line tracking for packages of 13 ounces or less. The package must be ¾ of an inch thick, include a packing peanut to meet postal requirements. First Class mail ships via air, the same as Priority Mail.
Consider offering FREE SHIPPING, learn how to include shipping charges in your selling price. Print the cost of the "FREE" shipping on the label
I send my buyers the following email when I receive payment:
Hello (Buyer), Thank you for the purchase of an (Item Name). Your "Item" will ship (Day), Month Date, , 2010 via USPS (Service) with on-line tracking. The approximate Post Office shipping time has been about ( PO estimate + 2 Days) days.

Returns accepted if not as described or photographed, notify me via email or telephone (cell number) within 3 days of delivery to your shipping address for return instructions.
Add Payment and shipping information: PayPal is my PREFERED Payment method and must ship to Confirmed Address
Shipping is via (Carrier) to 50 states & PR - $XX.XX
If your item is worth more than $20 and could be damaged in shipment, consider, include INSURANCE in your shipping cost....You are responable until the BUYER receives the item. The decision to include insurance is the sellers. It is not an option for the buyer
Ship via a method that protects you, the seller.
You made your first sale, Here's what to do next: 1 Get Paid, Send buyer an email Thanking them and when it will ship, see my suggested email.
2 Print a shipping label and Packing Slip from your eBay "Sold" page or from your PayPal account. Reduce Printer Ink and Paper Cost -- Set your printer to default to “Draft” mode, print in landscape and on both sides of the paper. Look in your printers manual for information to change settings. Draft mode saves ink and works well for most printing - even shipping labels, landscape will print across horizontal and print on both sides saves paper.
Lower Shipping Costs -- Get “FREE” Priority Mail shipping supplies from the USPS.
Save Time -- Print shipping labels and Packing Slips from eBay and PayPal.
Marketing Tip -- Hand write a “Thank You” message on the packing slip and include your business card in the package.
